Albert Guillén i Fà bregas is a Professor in Communications and Information Theory at the , and a researcher (part-time) at . He received the Telecommunication Engineering Degree and the Electronics Engineering Degree from and , respectively in 1999, and the in Communication Systems from in 2004. He has held appointments at the , Telecom Italia, , , , (ICREA Research Professor) and the . He is a recipient of both Starting and Consolidator Grants from the . He is a member of the , Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»), Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), Editor of (Now Publishers) and previously of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Transactions on Information Theory (2013-2020) and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Transactions on Wireless Communications (2007-2011). He was a General co-Chair of the , Barcelona, July 2016 and a Technical Program Committee (TPC) co-chair of the 2013 Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Information Theory Workshop, Sevilla, Sept. 2013. He is a TPC co-chair of the 2023 Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» International Symposium on Information Theory, Taiwan.
